The List: Double Zero Napoletana

For the past year I've been having a ball eating my way through the Creative Loafing 100 Best Dish List.  I still have 20-25 dishes left to try, but the "finds" on this adventure still tickle me pink!(#OldSchoolExpression #AtLeastICanHashtag)

If you live in the Atlanta area and haven't yet hit dishes on this list, you seriously have to give it a try!

The most recent find was at Double Zero Napoletana in Sandy Springs.  I've reviewed this spot before (here) and their Brussels Sprouts salad inspired me to develop my own version (here).  I love this place.  I wasn't surprised they had an item on The List nearly as much as I was surprised I hadn't had it!

The "meat entree" is actually found in the starter section of the menu, which is odd since there's enough for two people to share for an entree!  The dish is called "L'arrosto pork shoulder" which must be Italian for scrumptious! The pork comes in a skillet and while it's tempting to eat straight from the pan, don't take that shortcut!  Half of the fun of eating is pairing up the meat with the great assortment of sides.  There are roasted peppers, a garlic aioli, a granny smith apple puree, pickled vegetables, and Calabrian peppers (which pack some serious heat!) to make your sandwich amazing.Put it all together to make a sandwich in the freshly baked pizza dough.  There is absolutely ZERO wrong with this dish!!

Delicious!!!
