A Visit To Your Own Narnia

When the our family runs errands together (usually to Target), inevitably one of us gets separated from the group.  When this happens my son says the person is, “visiting Narnia.” Part of me hopes his idea could come true.  I’d love to hear tales of talking animals and ways that “Aslan is on the move.” If ONLY such a mundane run to buy light bulbs and dog treats were as thrilling as a C.S. Lewis novel!  There’s something wildly appealing about finding adventure in the ordinary.

Perhaps this is why I enjoy street art so much; I love seeing artists who are so compelled to create that they’ll pour their gifts out onto obscure buildings, hidden walkways, and sidewalks.

These artists create because they are compelled to create.

A friend of mine recently sent me these image from “The Chalk Man,” and I couldn’t help but think about how they all look like gateways to Narnia or some other fantastic land.

Perhaps we can dig a really, really, REALLY deep hole and end up in China!Sea World is always a nice spot!Abort! Abort!  Back to the wardrobe!  This isn't any place we want to be!!Hopefully no one's afraid of heights! And, of course, we have to be willing to help someone back into the real world.Ultimately, it's always nice to be home...

How I love what these artists share with the world!!
