It's true. You have the power to save lives!
Do you know that half of the hospital beds in the world are occupied by patients who don't have access to clean drinking water and are suffering from diseases as a consequence? Or did you realize that every year 1.8 million children die because of these diseases?
Don't rush past that stat. The 1,800,000 kids represent a population larger than Philly, Phoenix, or Dallas. That's almost 5,000 children losing their lives every day.
Sobering information.
Still, help is coming and you can join in! You see, all kinds of people are catching the vision that the water problem can be solved sooner, rather than later.
Every March 22nd is World Water Day; a day dedicated to raising awareness of the water crisis and featuring practical steps for getting involved. Team Phenix is especially excited about this year's campaign because our little girl is helping spread the word through the Charity: water Birthday campaign.

As you may know from a post earlier this year, Ellie has given up her birthday for the last two years to raise money to help drill wells around the world. We've had her work with Charity: Water because 100% of the money raised goes to drilling (They have a separate group of investors who pay for their operating expenses), and they send you the GPS coordinates when your well is complete. (Our hope eventually to visit a well as a family!)
You guys were SUPER generous in contributing to her campaign and now is your chance to participate yourself. All it takes is giving up your birthday by signing up and letting people know they should skip the gift-giving and donate to your campaign instead.
