Put something silly into the world
Why so serious? Why so grumpy and irritable? Must you be an Eeyore today?
What if you spent the day using a light touch? How would your disposition change if you decided to lead with humor and joy?
Think of the possibilities.
The world has plenty of seriousness to go around.
Let someone else do the complaining on Facebook Give the other guy a chance to vent on Twitter Let the cars around you fight traffic
Dig deep and decide to dance in your car during traffic instead of contributing to the madness; decide to see the glass half-full; smile at the people who have decided to have a miserable day.
ENJOY life no matter the circumstances.
Shel Silverstein puts it best in his seminal book, A Light in the Attic:
PUT SOMETHING IN
Draw a crazy picture, Write a nutty poem, Sing a mumble-gumble song, Whistle through your comb. Do a loony-goony dance ‘Cross the kitchen floor, Put something silly in the world That ain’t been there before.
Words to live by!
