The quote above is perhaps my favorite from one of the most quotable movies of all time.

Words definitely have a fun factor and, when we think about it, not only are there great words to say, there's also a bunch of icky words. In fact, if you're ever at a table and no one seems to be talking, ask the group, "What words do you dislike?" and the conversation will definitely pick up. Guaranteed.

In fact, I put that question to a number of friends recently and they came up with a long list, some of which made me ask, "why" but most of them make sense.

Doilies

Pustule (or any word where "pus" is included)

Shishkabob (my son hates this word, reasons unknown!)

Thimble (because you always sound like you're lisping!)

Untrustworthy(my daughter's least favorite word)

And, the most commonly detested word... drum roll... wait for it...

MOIST!!!
