Easy Party Sangria
Summer is here (at least in the south!), the grilling season is in full swing, and the company starts arriving consistently at Memorial Day. If you don't already have a sangria recipe, this one is tasty AND easy. Note that you DO need to let the flavors develop overnight, so plan ahead! Here's all you need:
- 4 cups Diet Ginger Ale
- 1 bottle white wine (you can use red if you'd like the more traditional sangria feel, but I prefer white for looks and taste)
- 1 Orange
- 1 Lemon
- 1 Lime
- 1 small can diced pineapple (with juices)
- splash orange juice
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 cup strawberries (or raspberries if you'd rather) fresh or frozen
Slice the fruit and admire the beautiful coloring. Squeeze the juices into a large pitcher (making sure there are no stray seeds). After squeezing the fruit, cut into wedges.
Add the wine, stir with the juice, then add the wedges.Pour in the pineapple WITH the juices!
Add the sugar.Splash in your OJ! Stir and cover the pitcher with plastic wrap. Put in the fridge overnight so all of the flavors can mix.
Immediately before serving, add the ginger ale and strawberries.
Pour over ice, take outside (optional!), and enjoy!
You are officially ready for summer!
